About us
Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute was established by Resolution No. PQ-289 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 21 June 2022, on the basis of the teacher-education programmes of Gulistan State University. It is the higher education institution of the Syrdarya region that trains teachers for preschool, primary and general secondary education.
Our mission is to raise the quality of education in the region and the country by preparing teachers with up-to-date knowledge, practical skills and strong values.
The institute has four faculties and eleven departments, offering bachelor's and master's programmes in full-time, part-time and dual formats. Research is published in the Sayhun Scientific Bulletin, listed by the Higher Attestation Commission, and in conference proceedings. The institute runs academic exchange and joint projects with universities abroad, and under its Green Institute initiative has built a solar power plant and the Garden of Intellectuals.
