On the occasion of October 21 — Uzbek Language Day, a spiritual and educational event titled "My mother tongue is the pride of my nation!" was held at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute.

The event, organized under the leadership of professor-teacher H. Umarov and tutor N. G'ofurova, was attended by students of the 2nd year, group 7-25 of the Primary Education direction.

The event focused on the rich history of the Uzbek language, its role in understanding national identity and preserving spiritual heritage. Students expressed their respect for our language through poems glorifying the mother tongue and creative performances.

It was emphasized that for future primary school teachers, respect for the mother tongue begins, first of all, with literate speech and a responsible attitude towards words.
