Center for digital educational technologies

The following are the main tasks of the center:

• timely informs the management of the higher educational institution about emerging threats to information security in the higher educational institution, as well as provides consulting services on information protection;
• organizes and supervises the management of the national network of "Electronic Education";
• control of the correct operation of existing computer technology programs at the institute;
• organization of maintenance and repair of computers;
• monitor the work of computer operators;
• to increase the institute's computer stock with modern computers and improve the existing computers;
• monitoring the functioning of the Internet network, (E-mail) e-mail services at the institution at the required level, monitoring the timely reception and distribution of news and information;• control over the operation, repair and inspection of the institute's copying machines;
• to lead all activities of the institute on e-learning and to establish relations with local and foreign higher educational institutions on the organization of e-learning;
• protection of stored and transmitted data from unauthorized access, modification, falsification and loss;
• ensuring the modernity and truthfulness of information transmission;
• identification of internal and external threats to information security;
• ensuring the modernity and accuracy of information transmission;
• protection against unauthorized modification and loss of software tools;
• operating systems and application programs used in them (for solving practical issues) and software tools to control the working state, restore it when the working state is broken;
• protection against dissemination of restricted information stored, processed and transmitted through communication channels;
• granting the privilege of using hardware, software and information resources for registered users;
• registration of users who have worked with protected resources and network services in the system log and monitoring the correctness of the user's behavior based on periodic analysis of this log;

The center performs the following functions in order to fulfill the tasks assigned to it:

a) in the implementation and development of information and communication technologies, ensuring their software and correct operation, as well as information security:

• measures aimed at eliminating existing technical and software problems on computers and preventing their recurrence • implementation of measures;
• making suggestions on the effective use of computer equipment and technology in the educational process;
• determining the need for computer classrooms and computers, assigning responsible persons and controlling the effective use of computer classrooms;
• installing and updating system and office programs of computers used in structural units;
• installation of necessary software tools for the educational process on existing computers and maintenance of computer equipment;
• organization of educational-methodical and practical seminars on the introduction and use of information and communication technologies;

b) organization of effective use of the internet network of the institute, control of corporate and local network operation:

• ensuring the continuous operation of existing network devices (servers, switches) in educational buildings and providing them with technical service;
• connecting computers to the local network and controlling their operation in the local network;
• installing anti-virus (antivirus) programs on computers and ensuring their updating;
• monitor the continuous operation of the video surveillance system installed in educational buildings;
• providing methodical and technical support to structural units on the technical and software tools of the local network;
• making proposals to the management of the institute regarding the formalization of contracts with providers regarding connection to the Internet network;
• ensuring and controlling effective use of the Internet by employees and students;
• Connecting to the Internet and monitoring the continuous operation of the Internet through software and technical inter-network screens and taking measures to eliminate various risks;

c) to improve the official website and e-mail service and ensure its continuous active operation and provision of interactive services:

• providing employees working in structural units with the institute's e-mail service and monitoring their correct use of e-mail;
• improving the official website and posting information about the institute's activities provided by the information service in a timely manner;
• ensuring continuous operation and updating of interactive services provided through the website;

g) ensuring the integration of the institute's information systems into the global network, automating the educational process, forming and constantly updating the electronic scientific and methodical base:

• development of existing programs for automation of the educational process and control of their effective use;
• organization of connection to global information-legal and educational resources and their regular updating;
• To ensure that the special programs developed and introduced by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education are completed in a timely manner with information relevant to the institute;
• control the effective use of the electronic document exchange system implemented in the institute;
• creation of e-learning resource base and control of its completion and registration;
• providing software and technical support for the creation of electronic versions of new generation literature;
• control the formation and constant updating of the database of electronic textbooks being created;
• The Center has the following rights to perform the tasks and functions assigned to it:
• to request materials and information related to the department's activities from the constituent units of the institute;
• making suggestions to the management of the institute regarding the promotion of department employees who made a worthy contribution to the development of the institute, were able to demonstrate their talent and knowledge, actively participated in public affairs, achieved achievements in various fields, and showed an example of selflessness;
• in necessary cases, making proposals to the management of the institute regarding taking disciplinary measures prescribed by law against managers and responsible employees who do not comply with the rules for the use of information and communication technologies and information security;
• participation in the development of documents on the activity of the center;
• the center may have other rights in accordance with legal documents.

Center:

• to ensure the execution of tasks assigned to the center by the decisions of the Council of the institute and orders of the rector;
• to fulfill the assignments given by the management of the institute on time and with high quality;
• to ensure high efficiency in all areas of activity, to actively participate in the activities of the institute;
• to consider appeals of individuals and legal entities within the scope of their powers;
• to organize private receptions for representatives of individuals and legal entities in the prescribed manner;
• to comply with labor and executive discipline and duties, to ensure the implementation of annual work plans;
• is obliged to observe the internal procedures of the institute, the rules of etiquette, the internal procedures of the student accommodation.
• the center may be assigned other obligations in accordance with legislation.
