Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute held a festive event dedicated to the spring holiday - Nowruz.

Nowruz is a period of renewal. Every year, our people welcome this day in a cheerful mood. Every household prepares our national dishes: sumak, halim, kõksomsa, kõkchuchvara. Children go to the mountains to pick flowers and play our national games. Our grandfathers and grandmothers of Mõysafid say "Thank you for making it to Navruz", "Safety is straw, let's not see any evil", thanking Navruz and praying for it. In addition, Navrõz holiday is celebrated on a large scale in institutes, schools, and kindergartens in every region, city, and district of our Republic.

On March 17, Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute held a holiday feast dedicated to Navrõz. Our national games: tug-of-war, national wrestling, stone-lifting and table tennis competitions were held by the students. As no holiday is complete without music, the national songs sung by the talented students of the music education department of the institute provided enjoyable moments to the participants of the holiday.

"Ready student" competition was also organized in the election. Book-loving young people gathered around the enlightened patriarch H. Mavlongulov who visited the event. They enjoyed each other's masterpieces of Uzbek and world literature that they read. Our illustrious father congratulated our youth and wished them great victories. At the end of the event, active and talented students and young people were awarded with honorary degrees.
