A mass running marathon was held in Gulistan, attracting about a thousand participants!

In order to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks set at the videoconference meeting chaired by the Head of State on April 7 of this year, a large-scale mass running competition was organized in Gulistan early this morning.

This sporting event was held jointly with the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan, the Syrdarya regional khokimiyat, the regional Sports Department, the regional Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, the Syrdarya regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection, the regional Customs Department, and a number of partner organizations.

This marathon, organized under the slogans "Student-Runner" and "For Man", was aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population.

About 1,000 participants, including young people, students, sports enthusiasts, and employees of organizations and institutions from different regions of the region, actively participated in the competition. The marathon was held in an atmosphere of high spirits, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.

Students of the Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute also actively participated in this marathon, demonstrating their high sportsmanship and physical fitness. They showed activity during the competition, won many prizes, and worthy of defending the honor of the institute.

At the end of the race, the most active and high-scoring participants were solemnly awarded by the organizers with cash prizes and souvenirs.

This mass sports event played an important role not only in developing sports, but also in forming a healthy lifestyle in society and attracting young people to physical activity.
