Education field "Physical Culture": results of monitoring graduate employment and labor market needs

The Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture of Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute announces the results of labor market monitoring for the 60111200 – "Physical Culture" education field.

Graduate employment (2026). Out of 167 graduates, 117 (70.1%) are employed: 53 are in permanent jobs, 43 are engaged in entrepreneurship and self-employment, 13 are continuing their studies in master's programs, and 8 are abroad. 27 graduates are working in their specialty (school teacher, sports school coach, physical education instructor at preschool educational organizations).

Employer needs. According to official letters from the preschool and school education departments of Yangiyer and Gulistan cities, Sardoba district, and the Syrdarya Regional Sports Department, there is a demand for 58 graduates in 2027, 62 in 2028, 75 in 2029, and 84 in 2030.

Employer suggestions. At the department meeting held on October 26, 2026, with the participation of employers, it was proposed to strengthen competencies in methodological planning of school physical education, assessment of students' physical development, safety, sports diagnostics, and injury prevention.

Adopted measures. It was decided to update employer needs every semester, direct graduates in need of employment to vacancies, prepare a proposal to include elective subjects "Sports Diagnostics and Digital Monitoring" and "Methodology of Physical Education for Preschool Children" in the curriculum, and expand internship bases through sports schools and preschool educational organizations.
